Goodbye Industrial Romantic Berlin!

That hottie (Vladimir Malakhov) would be the next Barishnikov. Remember him? Carrie's male companion on Sex & the City? Yup. We are talking ballerina extraordinaire...uhm, or whatever the male version of that would be. Unfortunately Vladimir went on a break in May and we got to see his German replacement dance his little heart out in Tchaikovsky at the State Opera.

There are a few things that you will never run out of in Berlin. Despite all reports to the contrary in the media there is no shortage of beer. Cool bars are also represented well. For all those who want to do more than drink and walk and drink in Berlin there are a hundred different theatre productions a day to choose from. I went to see Brecht's Mother Courage for five bucks and Beckett's Happy Days for ten. Awesome seats and some great productions.

I can't believe my time here is already up. I will miss this city, the Corona bus, the beach bars and my sister. It has been fun and very relaxing indeed.

London is next on the agenda. I imagine that computer access will be non-existent thanks to the English pound.

What? You're leaving already! Too bad, thought I would get to see you in Berlin. You're so hard to keep up with. Have a great time in London.
