My Favourite Old Man: Newman

Look at him! He's a god. He may be 70-something years old now but I would still volunteer to jump this man (in a manner that would not give him a heartattack). Lately, I've felt compelled to share with fellow travellers that I would like to have a piece of Paul Newman's ass. I think I am ready for something more serious...like arthritis and backpain. Most old people like to talk about their health but I imagine Mr. Newman is totally different. I think he would likely want to talk about world peace and new salad dressings that could help make world peace a reality. Seriously though, men like him don't seem to be backpacking through Asia at this moment in time. Although it seems he did take that requisite trip back to the homeland of Israel in the sixties with his, sigh, wife.


If you haven't seen Nobody's Fool (1994) then do yourself a favour and rent it. Watching that film is how I realized I was in love with Paulie. The man could charm roadkill into breathing again....I don't even know where the hell that came from. Regardless, rent it.

Used to be that I loved Rock Hudson in my more innocent days before I found out he was not actually straight and not actually alive anymore. I still admire the man for marrying his beard, Doris Day, and for keeping Hollywood thinking he was not gay until the mid eighties.
